G3 launch new dedicated WAV & LCV auction centre in Leeds

G3 Vehicle Auctions announce the development of their new dedicated WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles), light commercial vehicle and motorbike auction centre in Leeds, West Yorkshire.  The WAV and LCV centre is ideally located at Junction 30 of the M62, less than 10 miles from their new auction facility at Junction 32 of the M62.

The new G3 Leeds marketplace will hold the opening sale on Friday 12th February at 10am, with over 150 WAV’s to be offered from the Motability scheme fleet by Motability Operations, alongside a selection of LCV’s.

G3 has worked closely with Motability Operations since 2017 to offer their vehicles through weekly Monday sale events and built an established national buyer network for their popular fleet stock.  These additional WAV vehicles will create a brand-new sale event with a dedicated WAV auction at the G3 Leeds centre.

To support the ambitious target of becoming the WAV centre of the north, G3 has also recruited WAV expert Anthony Aspinall, a well-respected industry expert recruited from a national competitor to bring his knowledge and auctioneering skills to the new centre.

Backing the launch of the new centre will be a roster of LCV vendors, headlined by new supplier Dawson Group and includes established G3 partners Euro-Car Parts, United Rental, Sanctuary Group and many more.

The centre will also become home to a dedicated Motorbike sale, with up to 40 bikes to offered from established finance vendors such as Billing Finance, First Response and more on Thursday 18th February.

G3 have today been confirmed as a remarketing partner for NEPO, with the North East Procurement Organisation acting on behalf of the local authorities in the North East.  The remarketing of their fleet vehicles, LCV and plant will also be offered through the new G3 Leeds auction centre.

The G3 Leeds facility has the capacity for over 20,000 vehicles a year through the 4-acre site, which will host both physical and online auctions and includes a 200-vehicle undercover hall and the latest 360° imaging studio on-site.

The G3 Leeds site is positioned in the A1, M1, M62 triangle and comes hot-on-the-heels of the £12m vehicle marketplace which successfully opened as G3 Castleford in January.

Amanda Holtby, Co-owner and director said; “We’re delighted to finally announce a whole host of updates in the next phase of development for G3.  The investment of a new WAV & LCV centre allows us to increase our focus on specialist auctions with dedicated sales to suit vehicle types.”

“By working closely with Motability to create a new remarketing solution for their WAV stock and recruiting Anthony with his expert knowledge, we believe we have all the tools to make the G3 Leeds centre the go-to auction for this type of stock.”

“We have seen near 100% conversion rates for our LCV stock throughout 2020, so the upcoming additions of Dawsons Group and NEPO, alongside our established commercial vendors we will have a dedicated location for buyers to source even more of these in-demand vehicles, both online and in our physical auction hall very soon.”
