G3 Remarketing Confirms New Facility
Online auction company G3 Remarketing has recently completed the lease-purchase of a new remarketing and distribution centre cementing their position within the disposal industry.
The strategically positioned four and a half acre site is located within the immediate vicinity of the main M1/M62 arterial routes and demonstrates the increasing importance of stand-alone online disposal facilities within the industry.
The site is in the final throws of development and will offer one of the UK’s newest and largest online facilities with a unique range of services, cutting-edge technology and undercover auditorium for over 250 vehicles.
Commenting on the expansion Matt Dale, Director said “Within a little over three years, G3 has grown rapidly and the new premises will help secure our position within the expanding online remarketing industry”
“As a business we operate somewhat under the radar which works for our growing portfolio of clients. The expansion will allow us to attract further vendors to complement our on and off-site sales programme.The relocation fits our long-term business plan and will see the current team double in size over the next two-years. The business is also planning to establish a number of strategic hubs in other UK locations”
G3 Remarketing offers a range of disposal options for clients allowing the flexibility of on or off-site disposals.
Dale comments “G3 doesn’t have a need for endless parking spaces to store stock however, we feel there is a need for a physical presence as the online market still has to appeal to ‘old school’ buyers who still want to view vehicles in the flesh. These buyers are slowly embracing the advantages of new technology and over time, online bidding will become the norm for the vast majority”
Commenting on the wider industry, Co-Director Amanda Holtby:
“The consolidation within physical auction market that has been evident over the past few years is in no small part due to the growing importance of online channels which allow buyers to ‘stock-up’ without missing retail opportunities” Holtby continues “We foresee the contraction within the physical market to continue as large auction sites attempt to embrace efficient online technology whilst attempting to maintain stock levels at their centres. This is definitely not the death of physical auctions; they will just evolve to compensate for the changing market requirements and technology”
The new facility is due to be opened in August 2012 and will host a minimum of three weekly online auctions.
