11 Mar G3 delivers £6,827 donation to AvailableCar’s chosen charity Martin House Children’s Hospice
G3 Vehicle Auctions co-founder Matt Dale and AvailableCar Supermarket CEO Michael Bell have joined forces to deliver a cheque to Martin House Children’s Hospice for £6,827.
For the 2nd year running, G3 had pledged to make a donation for every AvailableCar vehicle sold through their auction lanes for 2020, despite the wider economic uncertainty.
Martin House provides care and support to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions across West, North and East Yorkshire. Based near Wetherby, West Yorkshire, it relies almost entirely on voluntary donations to fund the £9 million it needs every year to support families. AvailableCar have supported Martin House as their chosen charity for their Leeds superstore since it opened in 2016, having raised over £115,000 to date through donations and fundraising events.
Becky Beevers, Martin House Partnerships Manager, said: “We’re so grateful to AvailableCar and G3 for continuing to support us in these challenging times. These valuable funds will go towards helping us continue to deliver the essential services we provide to both the children and their families across the region.”
Michael Bell, AvailableCar CEO, added: “I have visited Martin House on many occasions since we began supporting them in 2016, and I have seen first-hand the amazing work that their team provide to children and families at their time of need. I know this donation will go directly to supporting their team to continue to deliver their vital work in the community.”
Matt Dale, G3 Vehicle Auctions co-owner and director, said: “We are delighted that together with our partners at AvailableCar we can deliver this donation for such a worthwhile charity in our area. It is our 2nd year of supporting Martin House in this way, and we are proud that over £15,000 has now gone towards the essential care they offer families in real need. With the move into our new auction centre giving us increased capacity, we are hopeful that together with the support of AvailableCar we will increase that figure further in 2021. Along with AvailableCar, we have also agreed to support Martin House for the upcoming 5-years as a minimum to help them address the difficulties in shortfall due to the lack of fundraising activity caused by the COVID pandemic”.
