03 Nov COVID19 business update – november 2020
Following the new guidance set out by the Prime Minister on 31st October 2020 and official clarification from NAMA, I would like to take this opportunity to confirm that G3 will continue to offer our remarketing solutions to both our vendors and buyers during November.
The safety measures and investment we put in place across the business earlier in the year have established this effective ‘new normal’ with which we safely operate today. Powered by our market-leading digital solution and combined with the introduction of a contactless ‘Click & Collect’ appointment system, we have created an effective solution to run an online-only vehicle marketplace to support our customer’s needs in these uncharted times.
Since reopening in the Spring, we took the decision to protect our team and the local community by limiting the number of visitors on-site, with only pre-booked vehicle collections permitted to visit and handed over safely at our collection compound. We have continued to operate online-only and restricted all buyers from accessing the site which we feel remains to be the right decision.
I can confirm that these strict limitations will be sustained throughout November, with new appointment times evenly distributing across the hours that the G3 collection compound is manned.
Our current calendar of sale events will remain as scheduled as Monday, Tuesday and Thursday E-Sales until further notice. All our E-Sales feature a live auctioneer and our powered by our bespoke online bidding platform, maintaining the unique G3 auction experience we offer our buyers and vendors to trade.
We have worked extremely hard throughout the year to ensure our 35 delivery centres located throughout the UK remain open and operational and our collections department will continue to work under difficult circumstances to safely uplift vehicles, unless central government changes its policy.

In January 2021 we will be relocating to our new facility and hopefully, COVID-19 rules permitting, we will be able to slowly open up our operation to embrace both online as well as physical, which we appreciate is a key element in our clients remarketing strategies and one we fully embrace.
